Rutgers Brings Home UCA/UDA National Championship

 

ORLANDO, Fla. - Rutgers seniors Jessica Corcoran (Secaucus, NJ), Kimberly Topping (Clifton, NJ), Melissa Kline (South River, NJ) and junior Samantha Dowgin (Byram, NJ) were crowned NATIONAL CHAMPIONS at the 2009 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading and Dance National Championships in the all-girl partner stunt competition on January 16th.  This division comprises four girls from the cheerleading team who perform a one minute long routine of continuous elite stunting set to music.  They made their mark in history as no other stunt team from NJ has ever won this award, taking 1st place by 11.5 points after a flawless routine!!  

All 4 girls are former all-star cheerleaders - Jessica and Kimberly are former World Cup Shooting Stars, Melissa is a former Jersey Devil and Samantha is formerly from Star Athletics.
